REMOTE INTEGRATIVE PATIENT CARE ADVOCATES
Maybe you've spent years bouncing between specialists who don't talk to each other. Maybe you've been told it's stress, or anxiety, or nothing at all — even when you know your body is telling you otherwise. Maybe a new diagnosis just changed everything overnight, and the decisions in front of you feel too big and too fast.
You don't need a tidy diagnosis — or even a diagnosis at all — to belong here.
We work with people managing conditions like: Long COVID, ME/CFS, POTS and other dysautonomia, MCAS, lupus and other autoimmune disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, fibromyalgia, IBD, newly diagnosed cancer, and rare or undiagnosed illness.
If your situation doesn't fit neatly into a category — that's exactly the kind of case we're built for.
"Courage wasn't only fighting your circumstances; sometimes making peace with your circumstances required more courage."
— Sonali Dev

You're not imagining how hard this is.
More than half of U.S. adults live with at least one diagnosed chronic condition — over a quarter live with two or more.¹
4.5 years and 4 doctors — the average time and number of providers it takes to get a correct diagnosis for a serious autoimmune condition.²

We help you navigate coverage, claims, and billing so it's one less fight to carry alone.
ONGOING CHECK-INS

Who is Patient Care Advocacy for?
If you're here, chances are you already know what it's like to carry a diagnosis that isn't going away, or to live in the exhausting space of symptoms without a name yet. Maybe you've spent years bouncing between specialists who don't talk to each other. Maybe you've been told it's stress, or anxiety, or nothing at all, even when you know your body is telling you otherwise. Maybe you're facing a new diagnosis that changed everything overnight, and you're trying to make sense of treatment decisions that feel too big and too fast.
We work with people whose health situation isn't simple --- conditions that are ongoing, not passing; that touch more than one part of the body or more than one provider; and that carry real weight, whether that's the risk of things getting worse without the right care, or just the daily toll of trying to hold it all together alone. You don't need a tidy diagnosis, or even a diagnosis to belong here.

What Our Clients Experience Working with Us
Feeling fully understood. Right now, you're probably the only one who has the whole picture — and it's exhausting to hold alone. We help you translate your experience into something your doctor can actually hear.
Walking out of appointments actually understood. Instead of running out of time before you get to what matters most, we coach you on what to say and how to say it, so nothing gets missed or glossed over.
Never starting from scratch again. We turn your records, your history, your timeline of "and then this happened, and then this" into something clear enough that a new provider can understand your case in minutes.
Exploring integrative care safely. Curious about acupuncture, supplements, functional medicine, or anything outside the conventional system? We help you learn how to vet providers and modalities for safety and evidence — so you don't hand over your money and your hope to someone who's going to take advantage of you.

Who We Are
Dr. Kim Peirano, DACM, MSOP, LAc
After more than 15 years in the wellness industry, Dr. Kim created Parallax Circle to help people with chronic and complex conditions navigate a healthcare system that can be confusing, fragmented, and difficult to evaluate. Drawing on both her professional experience and her lived experience with Long COVID and MCAS, she brings a perspective that bridges patient advocacy and integrative healthcare.
“I’ve seen too many patients with chronic and complex conditions get caught between two difficult realities: a healthcare system that can leave them feeling unheard or without answers, and a wellness industry where good intentions can coexist with misleading claims, poor boundaries, or outright predatory practices.
When you’re already exhausted from managing your health, you shouldn’t also have to become an expert in evaluating every provider, treatment, supplement, or claim that comes your way.
My goal is to help people step back, see the whole picture, understand their options, and make informed decisions about their care. We can be honest about what the evidence tells us, clear about what it doesn’t, and still leave room for curiosity, possibility, and hope.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a substitute for medical care?
No. We don't diagnose, prescribe, or tell you to start or stop a medication or treatment. We help you understand your options, organize your case, and build the self-advocacy skills to get better care from the providers who are licensed to make those calls.
Do you accept insurance?
Parallax Circle is private pay, with a limited number of sliding scale openings for people who qualify based on income and case complexity.
What if I don't have a diagnosis yet? Or don't have a diagnosis listed on your site?
You don't need one to work with us, and the list we post is just a sampling of common conditions we work with (but we are not limited to that list). A lot of our clients are still in the middle of the process of getting a diagnosis — that's often exactly when this kind of support helps the most.
What happens on the free consultation call?
In our twenty minutes together, you will have the opportunity to share what's going on for you right now and where you may need help. You'll have time to ask us any questions and learn more about what we can do for you. Ultimately, this call is to help you understand more about what we do and to see if it's a good fit.
How is this different from a Health Coach or Wellness Consultant?
Health coaches provide health and wellness advice as providers. While all of our consultants are trained, licensed, and experienced medical and integrative providers; in patient care advocacy, we are not functioning as your provider. Rather, function in multiple roles: we are a mediator between your entire care team and you, we coach you to prepare for appointments, and to help you understand your care.
Do you work with clients outside of California?
Yes — Parallax Circle is fully remote, so we work with clients across the U.S.
What if I just need help with one thing, not ongoing support?
That's what our one-off Focus Sessions are for — appointment prep, a single record review, or a provider vetting report, without committing to anything ongoing. After you've onboarded as a client, you can also book shorter follow-up sessions to check in on what we've been working on.
I can't afford your services, is there any way I can get help?
We created the Parallax Circle Community specifically to offer affordable, accessible support. The Circle Community offers mini-courses and guides around typical patient care advocacy topics (how to get your questions answered at the doctor? how to vet a wellness practitioner? etc), and also includes a weekly office hour with Dr. Kim for more personalized support in a group setting. We also offer a limited number of sliding-scale slots for patients who meet income and case complexity criteria. Contact us if you'd like to apply.
